During the first few years of our marriage my wife and I
were frugal by necessity, which translates into not having much money. One of
the meals we (actually she) came up with between bologna sandwiches and tomato
soup was salmon patties. They were as dry as eating a sawdust sandwich, which
is probably not entirely accurate, but it’s the way I remember them. This
recipe for salmon loaf might be saved by the addition of canned tomatoes to
juice it up, but I have my doubts.
